I am delighted to be on the board of Trustees for Alburgh with Denton and Harleston Preschool Nurseries. I have always had a passion for early years and believe that all children deserve to have the best start to their young lives and their education.

Having worked in early years for 22 years, I retired in 2017 to look after my grandson to which I now have four grandsons to care for. I bring to the board of Trustees all of my years of experience to enhance the growth of the preschools.

I am Hannah, I have two teenage sons who both attended Alburgh nursery. I have recently become a trustee again. I was a trustee when my eldest was at nursery in 2013 until I started working at Alburgh, where I worked for ten years.

I am an early years practitioner with level 3 qualifications in childcare and special educational needs & disabilities. In my spare time I am a football coach at my local football club.

I have fond memories of Alburgh preschool nursery, so I am really pleased to still be involved with both nurseries in my role as trustee.

I have been a Trustee for the Charity since April 23, I have two children who have both attended the preschools in the past, and have benefited from the wrap around childcare service that the preschools have to offer.

In my full-time role at my place of work, I am responsible for the HR and Health & Safety procedures, these are skills that I can bring to help support the valuable work that the Preschool staff and Trustees carry out on a daily basis, to ensure the smooth running of both preschools.

I am delighted to be the Chair of Trustees for Alburgh with Denton and Harleston Preschool Nurseries and with this responsibility I along with the other Trustees ensure both settings are meeting their targets/ budgets and all policies and procedures are up to date.

We hold 3 meetings per year along with an annual AGM (which all staff and parents are welcome to attend).

I have 16 year’s experience in administration, my main role is Customer Service but my other responsibilities are to ensure Risk Assessments, other Health and Safety and Quality policies and procedures are up to date.

I have 4 children (all boys), two have already been with Alburgh and are now at Earsham Primary School. My third is 3 years old and will be at Alburgh Preschool for another year and my fourth will be there in a couple of years.

I bring to the Trustees all of my years of experience to enhance the growth of the preschools.

I became a trustee after returning to the area, inspired by my daughter’s positive experience at the AwD preschool, where she attended for 18 months before transitioning to school. I was deeply impressed by the dedication of the staff and management, especially in navigating the challenges of recent years.

Although my professional background is not in early years education, I bring a valuable parent and carer perspective to the role. My experience in digital delivery enables me to contribute to the operational and strategic development of both settings, supporting improvements that benefit children, families, and staff alike.

I am delighted to be on the board of Trustees for Alburgh with Denton and Harleston Preschool Nurseries.

My daughter attended the preschool, and we really valued the experience we had being a part of this setting.

I wanted to be a trustee so that I could do my bit to help the preschool continue to thrive. The job they do to provide a pathway into education and learning for children is so important.
